>Originator: Jason Thorpe
>Release: NetBSD daily build August 19, 2021
>Organization:
RISCy Business
>Environment:
NetBSD/evbarm arm64.img.gz or arm64mbr.img.gz from above build
>Description:
The firmware files for Raspberry Pi 4 that are distributed in NetBSD/evbarm install images are no longer compatible with recent Raspberry Pi 4 or 400 units. See photograph of error screen on a bone stock Raspberry Pi 400:

(Note: This link will expire Sept 21, 2021.)
>How-To-Repeat:
Image arm64mbr.img.gz onto a micro SD, insert into Raspberry Pi 400 and boot. Alternatively, this can be reproduced on a regular Raspberry Pi 4 Model B after applying the latest Raspberry Pi 4 EEPROM update available here:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-eeprom/releases
>Fix:
Not provided. Probably a simply matter of grabbing new firmware blobs from Raspberry Pi.
