 It looks like this bug has not been fixed. I tried a very recent current 
 snapshot evbarm-earmv6hf and the problem still exists:

 This is with no devices attached to the i2c bus. 
 
 I will do a bit more testing on this platform, but want to try out current 
 snapshots on the banana pi/orange pi first.
