run startx& and before X starts switch to a different wscons using alt-f1-4, and you can wedge wscons such that you can not alt-fwhatever away from X
>How-To-Repeat:
not sure if it happens ALL the time, but if X is starting up you can lock wscons to alt-f5 X screen and not be able to switch off of it
>Fix:
either let X fully start before you switch consoles, or luckily now you can poweroff using the power button if you end X without having powered off.
