#define UNBOUND_VERSION_MAJOR @UNBOUND_VERSION_MAJOR@
#define UNBOUND_VERSION_MINOR @UNBOUND_VERSION_MINOR@
#define UNBOUND_VERSION_MICRO @UNBOUND_VERSION_MICRO@
-----
^^ That appears in /usr/include/unbound.h, which breaks applications that read this value to determine feature support. (In my case, it?s Perl?s DNS::Unbound, a binding of libunbound in Perl.)
>How-To-Repeat:
This appears to be installed with NetBSD. I don?t administer any NetBSD servers, but the admin of another NetBSD machine told me it?s new in v8.0 of the OS.
>Fix:
I?m not exactly sure, but it?s perhaps a problem in whatever packages libunbound for NetBSD?s installation?
