You have fresh installed system. When you start X you can not see anything because screen is black. Then when you move mouse you can see some windows. You can type and commands are executed but you can see some letters. Some objects are visible and some not. For example you can type exit to leave X.

The problem does not occur in NetBSD 8.0.
The problem does not occur when you do test: X -config xorg.conf.new
