The trackpoint/trackpad combo on my ThinkPad x230 are prone to hangs where they stop functioning, the trackpoint being the worst of the two.
An easy way to trigger these hangs is to run Seamonkey and/or run more than one CVS updates for me. As an aside, I need to press the trackpad/point button to generate events before starting X otherwise when X starts my cursor will not move. Pressing buttons multiple times to trigger a reset will most times resolve the issue.
