hmmm, i have multiple this-generation working radeons on -9:
[ 603.255] (--) RADEON(0): Chipset: "ATI Radeon HD 5450" (ChipID = 0x68f9)
[ 6108.797] (--) RADEON(0): Chipset: "CAICOS" (ChipID = 0x6779)
[ 265.905] (--) RADEON(0): Chipset: "ATI Radeon HD 5450" (ChipID = 0x68f9)
(CAICOS is 6450, very similar to the 5450's.)
can you get a stack trace from Xorg by running it under GDB or
turning of the trap signals option in xorg.conf, so that a core
dump will be generated. (i think joerg has a fix to make the
libexecinfo backtrace go through the signals, so in the future
we should be able to get more info directly here.)
thanks.
.mrg.
