Re: install/49470: NetBSD 9.0 RC1 reboots after bootloader (HP Compaq 6005 Pro / AMD Phenom II)

Hi,

Am 09.12.2019 um 14:38 schrieb Paul Goyette:
WARNING: 1 module failed to load

How do I find out which module failed to load here?

Almost certainly, this is a failure to load the ffs filesystem,
since the filesystem module is already built-in to the kernel.

The message can safely be ignored.

That's bad news ;-) So there is no known way to debug this further... I wish I had more knowledge on possible causes. Anyway, this is the first time I see NetBSD fail so early in boot process in a reproducable way on a standard desktop PC. Maybe I should try a BIOS upgrade and/or test with a NetBSD version older than the one wher the original bug report refers to.

The hardware itself seems to be in proper condition - Slackware installation did work without any issues.

Kind regards
Matthias
