 Sure, as would have better planning before we gained debug sets and sizes
 exploded - the point is that it happens in the wild (whether for good or
 for bad reasons does not really matter).
 
 We either need to keep supporting it, detect and warn, or at least signal
 a big red flag in updating instructions telling users how to migrate. I am
 open to all of these (or other solutions).
