>Description:
If I'm using any ISA graphic card (I tested different models from Trident, Cirrus Logic and OAK Technology) on a 586 or 486 board (here I tested also different types with different chipsets) the system boots until "kern.module.path=/stand/i386/8.0/modules". The next kernel messages are:
panic: cnopen: no console device
fatal breakpoint trap in supervisor mode
trap type 1 code 0 eip 0xc0118984 cs 0x8 eflags 0x246 cr2 0xb02c40f4 ilevel 0 esp 0xcdd5acc4
...
until to the kernel debugger.

If I use a pci or agp card on the same boards - it works.

Problem: the most 486 boards haven't pci slots (Vesa Local Bus I can't test because I don't have so a kind of card). With this bug 486 systems are not supported anymore...

Best regards,

Falk

Using any isa graphic card instead of pci or agp
