I replied to that:

I have not tried, but as the issue was that machine clock just stopped
for almost 2 seconds for an instant I the issue is not really in the
ntp.

Btw, I have not seen those those time skippings lately anymore, so
this issue might have disappeared. Also I have not seen the
fpusave_lwp did not panics either for 166 days (since I updated the
kernel April 6).

I think perhaps this and the kern/53017 could be closed, as they do
not seem to be repeating anymore.
