 I tested a kernel built from source date 2017.07.08.14.35.33 (which
 has src/sys/arch/x86/x86/lapic.c 1.59) on my Crusoe laptop, and it now
 reboots within a fraction of a second after the kernel starts, too
 fast to read the console messages.
