When installing NetBSD 7.1 on an SGI O2 using netbsd-INSTALL32_IP3x, the installation defaults to fetching and installing the netbsd-GENERIC32_IP2x kernel (and of course the machine then fails to boot). For sure you can easily change that manually during the installation by explicitly selecting netbsd-GENERIC32_IP3x to be installed.
It's only a very minor annoyance provided you are aware of it, but still it might be improved.
