 For what it's worth, the message "main-loop: WARNING: I/O thread spun
 for 1000 iterations" reported in the latter link also appears in the
 output of the NetBSD test runs where qemu includes commit
 05e514b1d4d5bd4209e2c8bbc76ff05c85a235f3, whether hosted on NetBSD
 on Linux.
