I can't switch virtual "consoles" via Ctrl-Alt-F1..F5 on this machine, at
least when X is running. The virtual consoles are configured:

wsdisplay0: screen 1 added (default, vt100 emulation)
wsdisplay0: screen 2 added (default, vt100 emulation)
wsdisplay0: screen 3 added (default, vt100 emulation)
wsdisplay0: screen 4 added (default, vt100 emulation)

This is with nouveau:
