 I don't know. I used to see it, now I don't. (on current amd64) Given
 that there was a pretty big todo about it at one point, I would tend
 to think the fix got into -7 too. Also, it references 49553 (similar
 behavior but a hang instead of a crash), which was confirmed fixed.
 
 This isn't the same problem that I was having this past weekend with
 supertuxkart causing the X server to crash; it's where if you exit X
 in an orderly fashion the X server finishes up the process by dumping
 core.
