 Can you check if your axe works on another machine
 and if another axe works on the machine?
 
 Could you rebuild kernel with
 options 	USB_DEBUG
 options 	XHCI_DEBUG
 and "sysctl -w hw.xhci.debug=15" before running dhcpcd?
 "vmstat -u usbhist" produces debug logs.
