When I try this I get
# cgdconfig -V re-enter cgd0 /dev/vnd0a
/dev/vnd0a's passphrase:
re-enter device's passphrase:
# cgdconfig -u cgd0
# disklabel cgfd0
disklabel: ioctl DIOCGDINFO: Device not configured
