 I had another X lockup even after my proper update to 7.0.  Same problem as before, running X and firefox, screen goes to background color, all applications gone and can't switch to virtual terminals.
 
 I logged in from another machine, killed Xorg which was pegged, then killed my window manager blackbox. Even after killing still couldn't get virtual terminal or console login, and screen still stuck on background color.
 
 Anything I might try to collect more info when it happens again?
