I am getting crashes and screen lockups with an i386 kernel that is GENERIC with PAE.

My hunch is that my video card is at issue.  I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT card that is working with X, but glxinfo segfaults part way after claiming to do direct rendering.

I seem to have 2 different kinds of problems:

1) X screen locks up but computer still runs.   Background of X will be redrawn but nothing else. Window manager widgets and applications disappear and I can't switch to virtual console or exit X or enter anything from keyboard.

2) computer reboots itself after locking up.  Most of the time there is no crash dump, but I included one below

I could loan or give this video card if someone is willing to fix.  I haven't tried without PAE or another video card yet, but I'm will to provide any feedback that might be helpful.
