 On the NetBSD 7.99.20 amd64 with X11_TYPE=modular machine, modular
 xorg against successfully starts the Xfce4 desktop, using startx and
 exec /usr/pkg/bin/startxfce4 in .xinitrc, after a full
 
 pkg_rolling-replace -suv
