Rebuilding everything for NetBSD 7.99.20 X11_TYPE=modular did not
solve the problem. I still suspect something from the latest openssh
update or from the tmpfs update relating to /var/shm since neither
reverting to a previous kernel nor to a previous pkgsrc build solved
the problem. I also wonder if NetBSD is different from DragonFly or
FreeBSD that do not seem to require the creation of an .Xauthority
file in the user's home directory after trying to start
openbox-session.
I updated pkgsrc to include the recommended xproto, and then I rebuilt
all of pkgsrc xorg from scratch and everything that depends on it
using
pkg_rolling-replace -suv
I cleared out /usr/obj and /usr/tools, well, I had to since otherwise
the NetBSD current source wouldn't build, and completely rebuilt the
kernel and world without xsrc from scratch as of

src/sys/arch/arm/nvidia: tegra_car.c tegra_sdhc.c tegra_var.h
