>Release: NetBSD 7.0_RC1
>Organization:
>Environment:
System: NetBSD 7.0_RC1
Architecture: All
Machine: All
>Description:
wapbl(4) ("log" option for FFS in fstab(5)) is not enabled during sysinst(8)
in 7.0_RC1.
It was disabled after 6.x in the following revision:
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/distrib/utils/sysinst/Attic/bsddisklabel.c#rev1.57
>> Don't enable WAPBL by default. It's far too dangerous.
I don't know if there were any public discussion about the visible change.
IMO "too dangerous" is too ambiguous.
It's worthful enough for me, at least on 6.1.5.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install 7.0_RC1 with all default choices.
>Fix:
Clarify intention of Core or Releng?
