 I still see the 100% CPU usage on shutdown  on the two computers
 I just tested -current/amd64 on: a sandy bridge laptop, and a Dell
 Optiplex 620 (Intel 82945G).
 
         Option          "NoTrapSignals" "true"
 
 Is a good workaround.
