 hmmm, i built ati 7.5.0 driver against -current and it does not
 seem to be a progression.  it seems to work for basic stuff, and
 upto and including XVideo, but anything GL now errors out, and
 eg, this on the console:
 
    DRM error in radeon_cs_ib_chunk: Invalid command stream !
    radeon0: warning: r600_cs_track_validate_cb:419 cb height (300, 0x10, 4) invalid
    radeon0: warning: r600_packet3_check:1737 invalid cmd stream 498
 
 the above is from 'glxgears', but real apps also fail the same.
