When doing a custom install, the user can choose to install the man pages, but
they might not work because program 'mandoc' might not be installed.
Issuing "man ..." might return error because 'mandoc' is not installed.

Do a custom install, choosing to install the man pages but not (presumably) the
text processing tools? (is */*bin/mandoc among those tools?)
>Fix:
If the user chooses to install man pages, program 'mandoc' should always be
installed.
