The following reply was made to PR install/48860; it has been noted by GNATS.

I can type in a "?" on prompt "root device (default wd0a):"
I got "use one of: ath0 wd0[a-p] ddb halt reboot
Before that I have the following lines:
boot device: <unknown>
root on wd0a dumps on wd0b
vfs_mountroot: can't open root device
cannot mount root, error = 6

I can read:
wd0 at atabus0 drive0
wd0: <TOSHIBA MK6028AL>
wd0: 57231MB, 116280 cyl., 16 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 117210240
sectors
I didn't noticed any cd, sd or ld
I tried to install NetBSD-5.2.2 one hour ago... It was running so far
but if I tried to install sets from cd the installation fails because
"no such device" (cdrom)...
If it would be interesting (maybe that can help): I tried to install
OpenBSD 5.5 and it works...
Greetings,
Helge
