>Description:
I had built 6.99.36 from 20140315 with HAVE_GCC=48 and trying to
boot from the install-image failed with:
netbsd: input/error
netbsd.gz: input/error

Using the boot menu of 6.99.36 installed on the harddisk (built without
HAVE_GCC=48) I was able to boot the install-image with boot sd1a:netbsd
and installed it to the harddisk. Booting from the harddisk failed
again with netbsd: input/error. After replacing /boot with /usr/mdec/boot
from 6.99.36 built without HAVE_GCC=48 it boots fine. The working boot
file is from 20140312.
>How-To-Repeat:
Build current i386 with -V HAVE_GCC=48 release install-image and
try to boot from USB stick.
>Fix:
Use /usr/mdec/boot from a version built without HAVE_GCC=48.
