I'm experiencing a problem with my PCMCIA based NIC, it's a Xircom RBE-100 card 
(I'm on NetBSD 6.1.3 i386) when I try to activate it with this command: 
"ifconfig tlp0 inet 192.168.1.85 netmask 255.255.255.0 up" the led on the card 
blink but few seconds later the laptop freezes and I have to manually restart 
it.
