Reverting back sys-bsd.c,v 1.66 all is good:
# arp 10.0.0.192
vpn01.intranet (10.0.0.192) at 11:22:33:44:55:66 on vlan10 permanent
published (proxy only)
# netstat -rn -f inet | grep 10.0.0.192
10.0.0.192 10.0.0.1 UH 0 76 - ppp0
10.0.0.192 11:22:33:44:55:66 UHLSp 0 0 - vlan10
