Re-testing again with 6.99.18, I no longer see the message about the
ohci controller going down if I plug and unplug the device. However,
when testing a transfer of a large file, I started to see errors
reported by the axe device, and then the system hung. The fallout
from that is that my hard drive was hosed and I no longer have a
bootable system, so I can't get my hands on the dmesg output (if it's
still there) to provide any insights right now.
