I think the problem is solved, first I changed the speed from 38400 to 9600=
in the Alix Bios :
BIOS setup:
*9* 9600 baud (2) 19200 baud (3) 38400 baud (5) 57600 baud (1) 115200 baud
*C* CHS mode (L) LBA mode (W) HDD wait (V) HDD slave (U) UDMA enable
(M) MFGPT workaround
(P) late PCI init

(E) PXE boot enable=20
(X) Xmodem upload=20
(Q) Quit

After I start the terminal emulator gtkterm but with speed parameter 9600 (=
and not 38400)=20
