 At first I thought the + needed to be escaped, but that made no 
 difference.
 
 It appears the No was used as the "no-op" or no formatting directive. 
 Using \&No works for it so won't be a macro or put it in quotes: "No 
 advance".
 
 I am not sure what is correct behaviour.
