 I also use netbsd-6/amd64 since a few weeks.
 
 I didn't test the pserver yet on it, but I also use a local repository
 copy and am using it for checkout/updates, however I've not seen any
 similar issue so far.  Of course that doesn't mean no issue exists.
 
 It would be interesting to know if the odd file-mangling issue you
 experience still occurs with an older CVS...
