Re: port-i386/37565 (Attempting ACPI S1 suspend has weird effects)

Synopsis: Attempting ACPI S1 suspend has weird effects

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: jruoho%NetBSD.org@localhost
State-Changed-When: Wed, 20 Apr 2011 05:37:52 +0000
State-Changed-Why:

I will close this. As noted in the last comment, the S1 state is really a
misnomer in the ACPI specifications. No operating system is known to
implement it correctly. The described weird behavior is actually expected.
Generally, the runtime power management should not go through the
system-wide sleep state mechanism.
