When switching few times from X to a console, the following appears in dmesg
and it is not possible to make a switch anymore:

        usl_detachtimeout
        usl_detachtimeout: not detaching

Note that this is a regression that has happened during the 5.99.X
development cycle.

Switch about ten times from X to a console and back.
