>Description:
When doing an install in NetBSD 5.1, QEMU without TAP-interface cannot use ICMP
(ping) and thus assumes the network is down, when in reality it is not. There
is an option to continue the install, but if not read throughly, the user may
assume the network does not work at all.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install NetBSD 5.1 on QEMU and set up the network.
Fails on pinging the host.
>Fix:
Either adjust the install to accommodate for QEMU or not use ping as a part of
network detection.
