   It is worth seeing if the bootselect code can read more than one
   character - hit an illegal key and/or request disk 0 be booted again.

I hit `7' (I have the usual 5-entry i386 boot menu), and when it gave
me the `Option: [1]:' prompt, the cursor continued to blink but it
ignored all keyboard input.  The same happened when I hit `0' and `t',
which I presume are not `legal'.
