>Description:

When installing a machine from scratch via network I recently ran into the
lack of IPv6 support - apparently on some (crunched) versions ifconfig (or
libc?) lack support for INET6, manually playing around with the interfaces
did not show any link local v6 addresses, but mounting the target disk
after installation, chrooting there and using the fresh installed ifconfig
did, so it's not the kernels lack of INET6 support.

>Fix:
need to investigate, this is a reminder.
