 Just fyi: I started doing some measurements w/ 5.0_STABLE as my baseline,
 only problem is that transfers halt at times and I have to do an "ls"
 in the mounted samba share to get them to continue. I believe there's
 another PR open detailling that. Anyways, took me a while to figure that
 out and I have adjusted my measurement method to accommodate for that.
 Now I gotta get a statically linked -current in place so I can compare.
 Well, I haven't forgotten about it, just things go slooooow at times.
