This problem was fixed in the NetBSD upstream in 2007 in
response to PR 35640.
(The upstream is src/usr.bin/ftp in NetBSD-current)
I haven't updated the latest version of tnftp to contain
this patch -- something I need to do.
Note: there is a newer version of tnftp than your debian package
has -- you are using 20050625 and the "latest" is 20070806.
