>Description:
Starting Xorg with an S3 Trio card results in a black screen and any
other try to get back any visual fails. The machine is still responsive (eg
ssh, typing commands blindly after switching back to vt). Xorg logs don't say
anything suspicious.
The hardware I'm using is an S3 Trio with 2M of vram on i386 architecture.
I could also reproduce the problem with VirtualPC 2007SP1, which emulates the
same graphic hardware.
>How-To-Repeat:
Start Xorg with the "s3" video driver on a sytem using S3 Trio (the freeware
virtualisation software "VirtualPC" is an easy way of doing this).
