Unable to boot to a shell.

I have just completed a 5_RC3 install on a Sun Sparcstation 20.  The install 
went like a dream, but failed on boot with the last message being:

dbri1: no mmcodec found.

I think this may be to-do with graphics.  I have a cg6 card installed, and this 
was mentioned just before the failure.

I am new to *BSD, so apologise for the lack of detail.  i will provide any 
information that you request, and that I can deliver.
