On an Asus M3A-H/HDMI board (AMD 780G + SB700 chipset), a
netbsd-5 kernel has problems talking to the SATA disk when the
SATA chip is set to IDE compat mode (which is the default, see
<http://www.spg.tu-darmstadt.de/~hf/asus-m3a-h/>):

Boot netbsd-5 on an Asus N3A-H board with SATA disk.
In case it matters here, NetBSD has ACPI issues on this board,
see PR 39671.

Workaround: In the BIOS setup, set "OnChip SATA Type" to "AHCI".
The board works fine in the default settings with a FreeBSD 7
pre-release kernel from a PCBSD DVD, btw.
