State-Changed-Why:

The general way that you make clean (or cleandir -- a cleaner clean,
with shiny fluorescent particles. or something. ...) is to invoke
the generated makewrapper (TOOLDIR/bin/nbmake-MACHINE) with clean.

That said, if you think it's more intuitive to provide extra args
to build.sh to perform this, we can do it. (Although you might get
weird behaviour where make & the makewrapper are rebuilt, then cleaned,
each step. YMMV).

Thoughts
?
