 random memory corruption as a possible cause

 Since it doesn't matter if use cmpci(4) or emuxki(4),
 the crash stays the same. Add to that the fact that
 
 mplayer -ao null -vo null -ss 101 whoareyou-mhd.mpg
 
 doesn't crash it looks to me like audio(4) is somehow
 causing corruption.
 
 So, where's the locking in audio(4) going wrong ?
