>Description:

I run a USB removable HDD or two to do backups, and just replaced a drive,
and I'm seeing this :

umass0 at uhub4 port 3 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: ViPowER, Inc. ViPowER USB2.0 Storage Device, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 2
umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 lun per target
umass0: BBB reset failed, TIMEOUT
umass0: BBB bulk-in clear stall failed, TIMEOUT

This is the same with two new HDDs (500GB WD) but the older 320GB
HDDs worked fine, they were formatted etc under 3.1, and this is
now a 4.0 i386 box.
I'm seeing the same fault with another very similar USB enclosure
on another 4.0 box :

umass0 at uhub4 port 5 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Genesys Logic USB TO IDE, rev 2.00/0.33, addr 2
umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 lun per target
umass0: BBB reset failed, TIMEOUT
umass0: BBB bulk-in clear stall failed, TIMEOUT
umass0: BBB bulk-out clear stall failed, TIMEOUT

That's with an 80GB HDD and a different USB enclosure etc.

I'm going to try it again on a 3.1 box to see if the fault is in 4.0, in
the mean time, is this a known bug?

>How-To-Repeat:
put new HDD in USB enclosure, attach to NetBSD box

    help!
