    thanks! thats exactly what I wanted to know.
    
    would it make sense to *always* delete $DESTDIR after a re-cvs?
 
 if you want to always avoid these sorts of problems, probably.
 
    (you can close the PR any time you like, I don't see this as worth  
    holding open)
