 It turned out that the issue was related to my shell's environment
 which was polluted with a CFLAGS='-DMALLOC_DEBUG -DRTLD_DEBUG
 -DDEBUG -g'.  -DDEBUG happened to be the part causing regex.c
 compilation to fail.
 
 This PR can be closed, sorry for the useless inconvenients.
