When I shutdown the 4.99.63 amd64 GENERIC kernel on my Core2 Quad it hangs in 
init when unmounting disks. I assume it's init as it's green console text. I 
think this part is related to pr #38501. On doing a power cycle (I have no 
choice at this point) and then booting the 4.0 amd64 RELEASE kernel I get a new 
hang at "Checking for botched superblock upgrades:". One reboot didn't even get 
as far as that.
